At the age of 22, I left my native Germany and landed in Mexico to work in one of the best hotels in Guadalajara. There I learned to speak Spanish, eat tortas ahogadas, cheer for Las Chivas (the favorite soccer team), and sing mariachi songs. Career development and job advancement opportunities led me to manage other businesses in Los Angeles, Hawaii, Chicago and Puerto Rico. In 1994, I returned to Mexico after 10 years in the United States where I followed my heart to Los Cabos and have made my home ever since.
